SHILLONG, Aug 11: The People’s Democratic Front (PDF) has questioned its MLA from Mylliem and Cabinet Minister Hamletson Dohling as to why he is unwilling to contest from the party in the 2023 Assembly polls.
Newly elected president of PDF zonal committee of Mylliem Gilbert G Laloo expressed surprise over Dohling looking to contest 2023 elections from another party.
“The party leaders and workers are still wondering as to why Dohling is not contesting from the PDF,” Laloo said, while speaking at a meeting to formally induct the new office-bearers of the PDF Zonal Committee Mylliem on Thursday.
Laloo had recently resigned as the working president of the NPP after it was confirmed that the party will be allotting the party ticket to Dohling.
As per reports, Laloo, who had earlier prepared the ground work to contest from the NPP, is yet to take a call on contesting the 2023 Assembly polls.
