SHILLONG, Aug 11: In spite of the fund crunch in Meghalaya, the state government has extended financial largesse to the officers and staff of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat by permitting them to travel by air without referring to the Finance (AF) department for approval as per existing norm.
An office memorandum issued by the Commissioner & Secretary of Finance, Vijay Kumar, said, “The TA/ DA of officials on tour shall be borne by the CM’s Secretariat irrespective of their department.”
