Cover song dedicated to women police personnel in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, Aug 14: A cover song has been dedicated to women police personnel of Meghalaya in honour of their selfless services to the people of the state, on the eve of Independence Day. The Hindi cover song/video — Raataan – Lambiyaa — has been sung by Ibanri Syngkli and backup vocals Twiliris Nongsiej along with artistes Bansiewdor Nongbsap, Shembhalang Shylla, Sweety T Sangma and Santosh Thapa, besides instructors of APTC 6th Bn MLP Umran, and personnel of 6th Bn HQs MLP Umran and SF-10 Tactical Base 6th Bn MLP Umran.
The song was released in continuation of their video series called ‘BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY’.
The group of artistes has also dedicated this song to women behind the men and women in uniform, for their sacrifice, resilience and perseverance, .
