Police bring stranded EGH youth back

TURA, Aug 21: Tengrik Momin, a youth from Williamnagar in East Garo Hills who earlier got stranded at a train station in Andhra Pradesh is being safely brought back home by police.
A team of the district police on Sunday reached Ganthur Train Station in Andhra Pradesh and took over Momin from the railway authorities. According to police, Momin, who was penniless at the time, was looked after by the Railway authorities after a request was made by the East Garo Hills District Police. He is currently on his way back home.
Tengrik Momin was one among several youths who had made the train journey in search of a job outside.
He was detained by local youths at the station and got separated from the group. East Garo Hills police were informed about the incident by relatives following which, the local police were contacted who immediately went into action and traced the stranded youth.
