SHILLONG: The Lok Janshakti Party has taken strong cognizance of the fact that the parking place owned by a contractor in Butcher Road has been converted to a car washing place as tourist sumos, taxis and other private vehicles are often washed there.
According to LJP General Secretary RG Pradhan, the entire defence area in Butcher road is a no parking zone besides contractor’s men are even collecting parking fees from the vehicles which are parked there.
The Lok Janshakti Party has also shot off a letter to the Shillong Cantonment Board CEO complaining about the matter.
