SHILLONG, Oct 3: Police on Monday arrested a 43-year-old man for allegedly raping his daughter three years ago when she was 15 years of age.
Police said the victim, who is now 18, hails from a village in East Khasi Hills. Police also informed that the victim had delivered a baby. The accused works as a coal miner in West Khasi Hills.
In another case, the court the Special Judge (POCSO) sentenced Arjun Das to 15 years in jail besides imposing a fine of Rs 1 lakh for an offence punishable under Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
