NONGSTOIN, Oct 11: A woman succumbed to her injuries after she was run over by a vehicle (ML05X9596) at Domsohplang (NH44E) near Markasa on Tuesday afternoon.
The woman, identified as Philomena Pariong of Mawroh village, was run over by the vehicle, which, following the incident, fled towards Nongstoin.
However, swift action from the police led to the seizure of the vehicle and the apprehension of the driver and occupant.
The woman, who was rushed to Tirot Singh Memorial Civil Hospital for treatment, however, succumbed to her injuries.
