One held for hurling bottle on candidate’s house

SHILLONG, Oct 18: Police on Tuesday apprehended a person for hurling a bottle at the Mawkhar residence of NPP candidate from North Shillong and former PWD engineer Ransom Sutnga.
As per the CCTV footage, the accused came out of a car and hurled the bottle at Sutnga’s residence in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Police said Sutnga filed an FIR but it will be registered only after receiving cognizance from the court sine the offence is non-cognizable.
