Hero will see Ileana

D’Cruz teaming up with Shahid Kapoor for the first time on the big screen and she seems to be satisfied with the final product.

“The film that I have done with Shahid has come out beautifully. I am extremely excited. It is something, which is very different. I am hoping that everyone loves it,” Ileana, who moved to Bollywood after making a name in the southern film industry with hits like “Devadasu” and “Pokiri”, told IANS in a telephonic interview.

A romantic comedy, “Phata Poster Nikhla Hero” has been directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, known for making serious action-dramas like “Ghayal” and “Damini” movies, had wielded megaphone for fun films like “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994) and “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani” (2009).

Ileana entered Hindi filmdom with highly acclaimed “Barfi!” and joined Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the cast. Although she won praises for her performance, but says she didn’t “expect any sort of appreciation”.

“I am a little pessimistic when it comes to films. It was humbling and felt wonderful to be appreciated. It encourages me to do a lot of better,” said the 25-year-old.

There are other films in the pipeline, but “I am a little superstitious when it comes to these things. I only like to talk about something when I have signed the contract.” (IANS)
