In a bid to intensify efforts towards eradication of Soil-transmitted Helminths, the Office of the District Medical & Health Officer, East Khasi Hills, will observe the National Deworming Day Wednesday in all schools and Anganwadi Centres across the district. “The Deworming Day will be followed by a mop-up-day on November 1, 2022, with an intent of deworming children, who missed the dose,” a statement in this regard said.
The Seng Samla Riwar Mihngi Pynursla will organise an annual educational distribution programme (Maham Singh Educational Award 2022) for the meritorious students of Riwar Mihngi belonging to Niam Khasi.
Inauguration
The College of Teacher Education (PGT) will inaugurate the NEC-funded auditorium and classrooms, RUSA-funded construction and renovation infrastructure and the approach road of the College of Teacher Education (PGT), Shillong, during a programme at 11 am on Thursday.
Aquafest
The Department of Fisheries will organise the 6th State Aquafest at 10 am on Wednesday at State Central Library, Shillong.
