SHILLONG, Oct 27: A lady, who is wanted in four NDPS cases in East Jaintia Hills, was arrested on Thursday by the Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) team and personnel of Khliehriat Police Station.
Acting on inputs that the accused was moving from Jiribam to Shillong, the police and ANTF team conducted a checking and the lady was apprehended around 1 am.
During the course of preliminary interrogation, she revealed the role of Rihun Dkhar as one of the financers in one of the cases. Further, a team from East Jaintia Hills was en route to Shillong Thursday morning, which located the house of the lady in a joint operation with East Khasi Hills ANTF team.
On searching the premises, 29.05 grams of heroin was recovered from her possession. A case is being registered at Laitumkhrah Police Station.
