SHILLONG, Nov 11: Suspended Congress MLA and senior politician Ampareen Lyngdoh is likely to announce her move for the upcoming elections next month.
Speaking to media persons here, Lyngdoh informed that she is more or less clear about her electoral move, and she will make an announcement regarding that between December 15 and 17.
She also predicted that there will be one party in Meghalaya that is likely to get a clear mandate in the upcoming elections unlike the 2018 Assembly elections.
Recalling that voters of Meghalaya gave a clear-cut mandate to Congress in 2013, Lyngdoh said the party has now disappeared, leaving a big void.
Arguing that the Congress has now become tukde-tukde, Lyngdoh said one party which will now fill that void in Meghalaya.
When asked about the political tiff between NPP and BJP, Lyngdoh said that the two parties, which had been working hand in glove in the state, will do away with the rift and join hands once the 2023 elections are over.
“They (BJP and NPP) should not be too aggressive with each other as after 2023, when you join hands, people will call you dupers,” Ampareen added.
