Administrative unit in RB now civil subdivision

SHILLONG, Nov 24: With the aim to enhance public convenience and better administration, the Meghalaya government has upgraded the Western Ri-Bhoi Administrative Unit to a Civil Sub-Division, to now be known as Patharkhmah Civil Subdivision in Ri-Bhoi.
Patharkhmah will be its headquarters, from where it will function with effect from Thursday, the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya, said in a statement.
The civil subdivision will now include multiple villages from Nongspung Syiemship, Myriam Syiemship, Nongkhlaw Syiemship, Mylliem Syiemship, Nongpoh Sirdarship, and Sohiong Lyngdohship.
