Magisterial inquiry team seeks extension

SHILLONG, Dec 4: Additional District Magistrate (ADM) PK Boro, who is heading the magisterial inquiry into the Mukroh shooting incident on November 22, has sought an extension.
West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner Batlang S Sohliya on Sunday said the inquiry team had been given seven days to complete the probe.
Sohliya said the ADM has already started the inquiry and even issued notices to various concerned parties.
The DC said he has not set any fresh deadline since the inquiry needs to go into the details of the incident.
Sohliya also said that the ADM will submit a report to him as an when he completes the inquiry.
It may be mentioned that the ADM is being assisted by Executive Magistrate W Kharbuli.
