CM confirms PM’s visit on Dec 18

SHILLONG, Dec 13: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Shillong on December 18.
Sangma said the Prime Minister will attend the golden jubilee celebration programme of the North Eastern Council.
Informing that the Prime Minister will attend two programmes, the CM said Modi will be here for two to three hours before flying back to Delhi.
Sangma also said that all necessary security arrangements will be made by the state government while the Prime Minister’s security will be managed by the Special Protection Group (SPG).
It may be mentioned that in addition to attending the NEC celebrations, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to attend a programme at the Indian Institute of management, Shillong.
