SHILLONG, Dec 23: Shillong has embraced itself in the warmth and merriment of Christmas with houses, churches and parts of city streets getting illuminated, bakeries running overtime, and music and carols reverberating in almost every corner of the city.
Iewduh, the oldest and the biggest traditional market, is bustling with activities and is drawing a large footfall, which is only increasing with each passing day. Visuals at Police Bazaar and other markets are no different.
Roads in Shillong, especially the ones leading to the market areas, are chock-a-block with vehicles aplenty.
Various localities have also started taking out Christmas carols, involving both young and old, who have been exhibiting similar vigour.
