M’laya lose to Gujarat

Shillong, Jan 2: Meghalaya lost to Gujarat by 211 runs in their U-15 Women’s One Day Trophy match in Jaipur on Sunday.
With the game reduced to 35 overs each, Gujarat made 265/8.
Monica Singh returned the best figures of 3/34, while Shreya Marak, who bagged a five-wicket haul in their last match against Manipur, claimed 2/56 on Sunday.
Dawanshisha Warlarpih (2/60) also bagged a brace while Jecykha M Marak took 1/31.
Meghalaya were only able to make 54 in the chase, though this was their highest score of the tournament. Monica (11) and Jayshree Singh (10) were the two players who got into double figures.
Meghalaya’s last match will be against Madhya Pradesh on January 3.
