Body found hanging near MUDA parking lot in city

SHILLONG, Jan 3: The body of an unidentified person was found hanging at Khliehiew near MUDA parking lot here on December 30.
The body has been kept at Civil Hospital morgue room after inquest and other formalities for identification and claim.
The body was of a man who was between 50 and 60 years approximately, and stood 5.5 feet tall with swarthy complexion.
When the body was found, it had a brown jacket, grey trousers, brown sweater, green t-shirt and white vest on.
Meanwhile, another body was reported to have been unclaimed and lying in Civil Hospital Khliehriat in East Jaintia Hills.
After being informed, the police officials from Ladrymbai police outpost were deputed to cause an inquiry at the place of occurrence.
Inquest was held and the body was kept at Civil Hospital Khliehriat morgue house.
The age of the deceased could not be ascertained.
