SC Sadhu appointed as DC of EKH

SHILLONG, Jan 9: Senior IAS officer SC Sadhu has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills. He succeeds Isawanda Laloo, who has been transferred and posted as Director and Secretary of Community and Rural Development department.
The outgoing DC Laloo will also assume charge as Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare department, according to a government notification.
New SP for EKH
In what can be termed as routine transfer just ahead of Assembly elections, a rejig has been effected in the Police department.
East Khasi Hills will see a new Superintendent of Police (SP) as Sylvester Nongtnger, the the incumbent SP, has been replaced by Dr Raghavendra Kumar MG, who is currently the Commandant of the 4th Meghalaya Police Battalion.
Nongtnger has been shifted to the Fire and Emergency Services as Superintendent of Police.
Spill Thamar, the incumbent SP of Fire and Emergency Services, has been transferred as Chief Security Officer, MeDCL.
West Khasi Hills SP Herbert G Lyngdoh has been removed and transferred as SP Anti-Infiltration Directorate, Shillong, while Darwin M Sangma, Assistant Inspector General of Police (R), Meghalaya, will take his place.
Vivek Syiem, who is currently the Superintendent of Police (Shillong City), has been transferred as Assistant Inspector General of Police (Law and Order).
Ringrang TG Momin, the SP, Anti-Infiltration Directorate, Tura, has been appointed as SP (Shillong City).
Nangkiew K Syiem, Chief Security Officer, MePDCL, Shillong, has been transferred and posted as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (R).
Also, Pherbak Singh Marwein, Assistant Commandant, 1st MLP Bn, Mawiong, has been transferred and posted as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Mawshynrut, West Khasi Hills, while Pynhunlang Manik Syiem, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Security Wing), SB, Shillong has been posted as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Sohra, East Khasi Hills.
