Police seize drugs worth Rs 2 lakh in SWGH

AMPATI, Feb 5: With authorities stepping up vigil across the state in view of the upcoming Assembly elections, police in South West Garo Hills on Saturday evening confiscated heroin worth Rs 2.36 lakh.
Two persons, viz. Chebat B Sangma of Dakopgre, Tura, and Dechangra D. Sangma of Ampati Songma were also apprehended in this connection.
Recovered items from the duo’s possession include 11 gram of substance suspected to be heroin, two mobile phones, ID cards, Rs 900 in cash and a motorcycle.
