TMC’s Charles Pyngrope files nomination

Shillong, Feb 6: Meghalaya TMC leader and Nongthymmai LAC candidate Charles Pyngrope today filed his nomination.

He is set for an electoral battle with Jemino Mawthoh of the United Democratic Party (UDP) in the constituency.

After filing his nomination, Charles Pyngrope sounded optimistic that the TMC which is contesting polls for the first time in Meghalaya, would do well and the party was banking on its ’10 pledges’ to win support of voters.

Today, some big names in Meghalaya politics like A L Hek, Sanbor Shullai, Jemino Mawthoh and are scheduled to file their nomination papers for the February 27 polls.
