SHILLONG: Altogether 44 students from South Shillong constituency who secured 85 per cent or more marks in the SSLC and HSSLC examinations 2013 under various examination boards of the country were felicitated by the Ardhendu Chaudhuri Charitable Trust (ACCT) at a function at the Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Urban Affairs Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh lauded the activities of the Trust for extending its helping hand to the society.

While congratulating the students on their success, the Minister urged them to continue their good work in their lives.

Arijeet Chakrabarty who secured the highest percentage of marks in the HSSLC examination (CBSE) and Srirupa Gupta Chaudhury who secured highest percentage of marks in the SSLC examination (MBOSE) were awarded gold medals on the occasion.

Chairman of the ACCT, Manas Chaudhuri, in his speech, advised the students to inculcate a positive approach towards their lives for achieving success in all their endeavours.
