Meghalaya gets its second five-star hotel

SHILLONG, Feb 13: The much-awaited Courtyard by Marriott Shillong was on Monday inaugurated in the state capital.
According to a statement, the newly inaugurated hotel will cater to both business and leisure travelers.
“The Courtyard by Marriott Shillong is surrounded by breath-taking mountain views, offering guests both the vibe of a bustling city and the peaceful respite of nature,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Ranju Alex, Area Vice President – South Asia, Marriott International, informed that the Courtyard by Marriott Shillong marks the 26th Courtyard by Marriott to join the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio in India.
“We are very pleased to grow our presence in the East with the opening of the Courtyard by Marriott Shillong, as the demand for travel coincides with the piqued interest of travelers seeking to discover new and emerging cities across India,” said Alex.
General Manager, Courtyard by Marriott, Shillong, Tushar Nagar, on the other hand, said, “We are thrilled with the launch of the Courtyard by Marriott Shillong. We offer a prime location for both business and leisure travel.
