Ri-Bhoi general observer reviews preparedness in constituencies

NONGPOH, Feb 15: The General Observer for Nongpoh constituency K Veera Raghava Rao on Tuesday visited the polling stations of the constituency which include Diwon, Umrang Nongbah and Bleishiah to get first-hand knowledge on the preparedness and facilities of the polling stations for the voting scheduled to be held on February 27.
During the visit, the General Observer inspected the assured minimum facilities of the polling stations, the venues for the polling booth and the surrounding premises of the polling stations.
During the course of the visit, he also interacted with the zonal magistrate and the sector officer of the area as well as the booth-level officers of the respective polling stations and interacted with the local communities.
Through the interactions, the General Observer was briefed on the total number of male and female voters in the polling stations.
He was also informed about the number of villages surrounding the polling stations.
