Tura, Feb 22: A huge crowd gathered at the TMC election rally at New Bhaitbari under Rajabala LAC in Garo hills, which is so far the biggest show of strength of the party this election.
The stage saw the presence of the AITC supremo, Mamata Banerjee, her nephew, Abhishek. Meghalaya TMC leader Mukul Sangma arrived late due to issues with his chopper.
Also present were AITC firebrand MP, Mahua Moitra, RS MP, Derek O’brien, Manash R Bhuyan along with MLA contestants, Dr Mizanur Rahman Kazi, SG Esmatur Mominin, Agassi Marak.
Mizanur Rahman Kazi of TMC is mainly engaged in a three-way with TMC’s NPP’s Abdus Saleh and UDP’s Ashahel D Shira in Rajabala constituency. Two other candidates from the BJP and Congress are not expected to make much headway in the polls.
