SHILLONG, Mar 3: Amid exasperation over HSPDP MLAs Methodius Dkhar and Shakliar Warjri extending support to the NPP in forming a new government, arson was attempted at the office of the Meda Infrastructures Private Limited Information in Laitumkhrah on late Friday late evening.
Mawshynrut MLA Methodius Dkhar is the director of this firm, which is involved in construction work.
When contacted, a senior police official informed that the fire teams and police immediately arrived at the spot and were successful in dousing the fire. It was also informed that the search has been initiated for the alleged arsonists.
The official also ruled out any report of injuries and informed that the damage report is yet to come.
