Shillong, March 13: Years after she took a dig at Deepika Padukone, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut today praised the former after she introduced the performance of iconic Naatu Naatu song at Oscars 2023.

Kangana on her Twitter wrote, “How beautiful @deepikapadukone looks, not easy to stand there holding entire nation together, carrying its image, reputation on those delicate shoulders and speaking so graciously and confidently. Deepika stands tall as a testimony to the fact that Indian women are the best”.

A journalist had a few years ago asked for Kangana’s comments on an influencer shaming Deepika Padukone for her ‘hemlines and necklines’ during the Gehraiyaan promotions.

Kangana Had stated at that time, “Look, I am here to defend those who can’t defend themselves. Alright? She can defend herself. She has the privilege, the platform and I can’t promote her film here. Sit down.”
