BSF distributes tools among border-dwellers

SHILLONG, March 13: The 28th Battalion of BSF Meghalaya conducted a civic action programme at Bollongre, South West Garo Hills, along the Indo-Bangla border on Monday.
During the programme, the BSF distributed sports items for youths, agricultural tools and water storage tanks for farmers, stationeries and school bags for students.
Around 250 border-dwellers attended the programme and expressed their happiness and gratitude for the friendly gesture shown by 28 Bn BSF. Villagers said such programmes will go a long way in further consolidating the bond and harmonious relationship prevailing between the locals and the force.
