Shillong, March 16: The Delhi High Court has asked the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on March 25 in a case related to alleged land for job scam.

DP Singh advocate for CBI submitted before the court that the Deputy CM of Bihar may physically appear before the CBI this month. Singh said that the premier agency will not arrest him. On this the counsel of Yadav said that he will appear on March 25 before the CBI.

The Delhi residence of Yadav, who is the son of former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, was raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the land for job scam. Later it came to light through different reports that ED found unaccounted wealth at the home of Yadav.

Tejashwi Yadav had on Wednesday moved the Delhi high court challenging the CBI summons issued to him. Yadav had said that the allegations against him are primarily against his father and that he was a minor when the alleged offences were believed to be committed.
