Swara Bhasker wedding: Pakistani designer stitched actor’s ‘lehenga’ for Walima ceremony

Shillong, March 22: Fahad Ahmad and Swara Bhasker are now a happily married couple. They got married under the Special Marriage Act for registration of their marriage in court on January 6.

On March 11, the Haldi ceremony served as the start of their wedding festivities. This was followed by the Mehendi, Sangeet, and Qawwali night, among other events. The groom’s family hosted Swara and Fahad’s Walima on March 19.

The Veere Di Wedding actress looked stunning in a lehenga designed by Pakistani designer Ali Xeeshan for the event. Swara showered praises on the designer in a tweet and explained how her clothing was made in Lahore. She also mentioned the customised messages that the designer had carved into it.

Swara Bhasker tweeted about the outfit’s specifics and added some photos of it. The actress thanked the Pakistani designer for designing her dress and appreciated his ability and labou. Her Walima lehenga, she revealed, had been flown in from Lahore.

She tweeted, “My Walima outfit came all the way from Lahore via Dubai- Bombay-Delhi finally to Bareilly! I’ve long marvelled at the talent of Ali Xeeshan. When I called him with an idea of wearing his work at Walima, his warmth and generosity made me admire the person”.

She further wrote, “Ali Xeeshan not only sent Jodi outfits for @FahadZirarAhmad & me, but customised them painstakingly with personalised details & messages embroidered into the exquisite garments. My sarhad-paar ki bestie @Natrani came to our rescue & enabled the outfits to reach Dubai.”
