SHILLONG, April 10: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Monday said that the state government is likely to invite the Harijan Panchayat Committee (HPC) for talks this week to discuss the proposal for relocation of residents from Them Iew Mawlong.
“We have read in a section of the media that the HPC is willing to meet the government. We have already presented them with all the details including the relocation blueprint,” Tynsong said, while adding that the government is yet to receive a reply from the HPC on the blueprint.
