SHILLONG, April 11: Most parts of the city will be without water supply for two days thanks to the sudden breakdown of the gravity main of the Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme.
The executive engineer (PHE) of GSWSS Division II informed on Tuesday that due to the sudden breakdown of the 750 mm diameter CI gravity main at Umdiengpun and Lad Mawreng, there will be no water supply on Wednesday and Thursday in Shillong Municipal areas, Shillong Cantonment Board areas, Nongthymmai, and Mawlai.
The officer also efforts will be made to restore the normal water by the Thursday evening.
