NONGSTOIN, April 12: A teenage boy named Cooperson Lyngdoh Nonglait from Sohparu village in West Khasi Hills has been reported missing by his kin.
According to West Khasi Hills Police, relatives of the missing person appeared before the Nongstoin Police Station on Wednesday and verbally reported that 19 year-old Cooperson, son of (L) Meristella Lyngdoh of Sohparu, Lawse, Nongstoin, has gone missing since the morning of Monday.
His family reported that he was last seen at Nonbah, Nongstoin wearing a black cargo pant, grey sweatshirt, formal black shoes and carrying a green/pink bag. He is 5-feet tall, has black and curly hair and swarthy-complexioned.
According to the statement of his sisters — Monica Lyngdoh Nonglait and Mishelta Lyngkhoi — Cooperson was last seen at their shop in Nonbah Nongstoin near St. Savior Secondary School.
He reportedly told his sisters that he would head to Shillong and stay with his elder brother Albinus Lyngdoh Nonglait at Rynjah, Shillong.
Accordingly, his brother Albinus was told to wait for him in Shillong Khliehiew bus stand. Albinus, however, says that his brother Cooperson did not arrive in Shillong.
