Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday served a chargesheet to IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal whose suspension eight days ago triggered a huge controversy.

Official sources said that a copy of the chargesheet along with a report has been sent to the Department of Personnel and Training(DoPT) at the Centre.

Nagpal was suspended on July 27 ostensibly for ordering demolition of a wall of a under-construction mosque allegedly without following the due process. Nagpal belonged to the UP cadre. (PTI)
