The HQ 101 Area Shillong will celebrate its 60 years of raising on Sunday. According to a statement here, the diamond jubilee celebrations will start on Monday from 7:30 am onwards at Garrison Ground, Shillong. The highlights of the event include a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial, address of General Officer Commanding Eastern Command, flagging in of motorcycle rally, et al.
Condolence
Members of Matri Mandir have, during a meeting here, condoled the untimely demise of Priest Ramendra Bhattacharjee and also observed a two-minute silence in rememberance of the departed soul. According to a statement here, the shradhya will be performed on Sunday at Matri Mandir Polo Ground, Shillong.
Seminar
The School of Science, William Carey University, Meghalaya, will organise a two-day national seminar as part of the commemoration of Earth Day. The seminar, which will begin on April 25, is thematised on ‘Sustainability in Action: Celebrating Earth Day and Building a Greener Future’.
