K’taka welcomes Meghalaya House proposal

 SHILLONG: Karnataka Government has responded positively to the request of Meghalaya Government for allotment of a plot of land to construct a Meghalaya House in Bangalore.

This was stated by GAD Minister HDR Lyngdoh, who had a 15 minute-long meeting Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday in this connection in Bangalore.

‘I have handed a formal request letter to the Chief Minister in this connection,” Lyngdoh said over telephone from Bangalore on Thursday.

“He welcomed our proposal to set up a Meghalaya House in his State,” Meghalaya minister said adding that he would visit Bangalore to inspect the land once it is allotted.
