SHILLONG, May 6: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Saturday said that in the application of roster system there is nothing called ‘prospective’ or ‘retrospective’.
“If you look at the entire situation, the roster system is an ongoing process and in the application of roster there is nothing called prospective or retrospective. Actually that is the part a lot of people do not understand, and we are going to give a presentation and we will show everything,” said the chief minister.
He said, “The roster system will work as per the roster system that has been created. That will come out. Therefore, once we give the explanation and presentation to everybody, the whole thing will be clear.”
Elaborating, he said, “Roster, as you know, is a schedule and that schedule is to be implemented as per the implementation of the roster or the schedule that is there.”
“Hence, in the past we have seen that normally recruitment was done on the basis of vacancies. Whereas the recruitment should be done on the basis of posts that are there, therefore that is the aspect which we will be given in the explanation,” he added.
He further said, “The department and government is working hard on this and once we are able to explain this to everybody I am sure the issue will become clear.”
