Awareness
The NSS Unit-I of William Carey University on Friday organised a community awareness programme on ‘Agriculture and Marketing of Agricultural Products’ as a part of a special camp in Lumdiengsai village, East Khasi Hills. The programme was attended by State NSS Officer, faculty of William Carey University, headman, villagers, NSS volunteers, among others.
Dry days
East Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner (Excise) has declared dry days on May 23, 24 and 26 in the areas of Ladrymbai Dongwah, Ladrymbai Khliehdupon and Dienchynrum on account of ‘Rymbai Dolloiship Election’. In this regard, all IMFL retailers, bars, canteen, and outstills in the aforesaid areas have been directed to remain closed.
Programme
The Meghalaya Biodiversity Board will organise a state-level function on Monday to celebrate the International Day for Biological Diversity. According to a statement, the programme will be held at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong, from 10 am onwards.
