Sameer Wankhede, wife claim they are getting threats, seek security

Shillong, May 22: The Bombay High Court granted protection from arrest to IRS officer Sameer Wankhede until today in connection with the drugs case involving Aryan Khan. Sameer Wankhede stated he and his wife Kranti Redkar have been receiving threats for the past four days.

The former Narcotics Control Bureau zone chief for Mumbai stated, “I will write to Mumbai Police Commissioner about it today and demand special security.” The Bombay High Court will hear his case once more today.

Actress Kranti Redkar is Sameer Wankhede’s second wife.

Sameer Wankhede oversaw the investigation in numerous high-profile Bollywood cases while serving as the zonal chief of the Narcotics Control Bureau till 2021, including the drug-related aspects of the Sushant Sigh Rajput death case and the dugs on cruise case, which resulted in the arrest of Aryan Khan.

The CBI has filed a FIR against Sameer Wankhede on the grounds that he allegedly asked Shah Rukh Khan for a bribe of 25 crore in exchange for a promise not to bring charges against Aryan Khan. A total of Rs. 50 lakh was received as bribe.
