Shillong, May 27: Two people were killed and 30 were injured after a Russian missile struck a clinic in the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine on Friday.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy referred to the act as a crime against humanity.
“Another (Russian) missile attack, another crime against humanity,” Zelenskiy wrote on Twitter.
Rescue workers could be seen observing a destroyed building that was spewing smoke. What seemed to be a three-story building had a large portion of the upper floor that had been severely damaged. Nearby, a covered corpse was lying in the road.
Both a veterinarian and a psychological clinic, he claimed, had been attacked. He continued, “Only an evil state can battle against clinics. There cannot be a military motivation behind this. Pure Russian terror, that is” Zelenskiy said.
A 69-year-old man was killed as he passed the clinic, according to regional governor Serhiy Lysak, and another man’s body had been recovered from the wreckage.
He claimed that 30 people, including two children, had been hurt and that three persons who were allegedly inside the building when it was hit had not yet been reached.
