SHILLONG, June 4: A former teacher of St. Edmund’s School was recently arrested on charge of molesting a class IX pupil of a prominent city school.
A police official on Sunday said George Middlecote (74) was arrested and kept in judicial custody following a complaint from the family of the student who was taking tuition from the accused.
The official said police have registered a case under various sections of the POCSO Act, 2012.
