SHILLONG, June 5: The State BJP has asked the government to incorporate the views of NGOs and civil society groups on the issue of the job reservation policy before taking any concrete decision on the same.
State BJP president Ernest Mawrie on Monday said, “The views should not come only from the experts; it should be open even for the NGOs or any organisation.”
“The BJP had attended the all-party meeting called by the chief minister and agreed to the formation of a special committee. Now it is the duty of the committee to talk to all concerned and give suggestions to the state government,” he said.
He also said the BJP’s internal committee has discussed the matter and will submit their views and suggestions to the government.
