Murder

On August 12 around 8 pm, unknown miscreants murdered Donjeng Ch. Sangma (50) at Teksragre, West Garo Hills.

Assault

On August 17 midnight, unidentified miscreants assaulted Md. Taufiq Ahmed, driver of truck (AS-01-AC-5264) and his handyman at Lad Umsaw (RB) and also looted Rs 4000 from them. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Attempted rape

On August 16 midnight, one Diklis Siangshai attempted to rape one woman at her house in Ladmyngor village, West Jaintia Hills.

Vehicle burnt

On August 15 around 1.30 am, unknown miscreants set fire to one vehicle (ML-08B-3987) belonging to. Ruji Bhattacharjee at Dobasipara, Tura.

Threat

On August 11, at around 9.30 pm, three persons Tony Lyngdoh, Hepson Sylliang and one minor boy assaulted and threatened Darshan Sylliang with dire consequences at Umkra village Ri Bhoi.

Theft

On August 11, four persons, one minor boy, Ton Iawren, Bakstar Sohshang and Khwinda Wahlang stole Rs 1.20 lakh from the house of one Sheltiful Lyngdoh Marshillong at Tiehsaw village (West Khasi Hills).

Clamp removed

Home Guard Volunteer C. Ritshong lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on August 9 around 10.30 am, he clamped one vehicle (ML-04-1290) parked at a No Parking Zone near Nazareth Hospital, Shillong. Later, he found that the clamp was damaged and the vehicle had fled away.

Kidnap

On August 8, Seema of Mawlonghat, Shillong kidnapped one minor girl, Biba Kumari (10) from 29-Cantonment, Shillong.
