Confirming this here on Tuesday, newly-elected CEM, Pyniaid Sing Syiem said the ruling alliance has decided to nominate Congress MDC from Mawhati, Charles Marngar for contesting the election to the post of deputy chairman.
KHADC chairman, Lamphrang Blah had earlier said that the election for the post of deputy chairman would be held on Wednesday.

He also said the other MDCs who could not be accommodated in the new EC would be nominated as the chairman of various advisory committees of the council.
The new ruling alliance in the KHADC has the support of 18 MDCs in the House of 30. They include 12 of the NPP and six of Congress.
Earlier, the KHADC chairman said the ongoing session would be extended to allow the new EC to present the full budget for fiscal 2023-2024 on June 24.
According to him, the vote on account presented in March would end on June 30.
He further said the private members’ business would be held on June 26 while the voting on the supplementary demands would be held on June 28.
