SHILLONG, June 21: A 17-year-old girl died by suicide by hanging herself inside a room at a shelter home in Mawdiangdiang on Wednesday.
According to the police, the deceased is a POCSO victim, and that an unnatural death case has been registered at Rynjah Police Station.
Police have also informed that magisterial inquest and post mortem have been conducted.
It may be mentioned that the minor was sexually assaulted in November last year by her uncle.
