The same day, a portion of the pavement at the Umiam view point at Ryndangbriew collapsed. The area is frequented by a large number of tourists every day.
Earlier on Wednesday night, a mudslide occurred at Malki posing significant risk to a house atop. Residents of the house were evacuated following the mud slip.
