Rabindranath Tagore Club (RTC), Laban, is organising the 13th Inter-Shillong Cultural Event 2023. The various events held as part of the event include Rabindra Sangeet, Folk Song, Dance on Tagore Song, Art, Rangoli, Essay, Fun Games, Recitation in English, Recitation in Bengali, Antakshree and Dance on Hindi Song, according to statement issued here. The competitions will start from July 16 and conclude on August 6. Condolence
Members of Sankardev Cultural Centre and some well-wishers have condoled the demise of Mitradeb Gogoi, a prominent citizen of Shillong, by observing a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed. Gogoi was one of prolific writers, composers and a renowned musician related to Sankaria Culture. He was a member of Assam Sahitya Sabha and associated with organisations of Sankardev Namghar Bihu Committee.
