TURA, July 3: The All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association has requested the government to release their salaries that have been pending for three months.
According to the Association, the SSA teachers are yet to receive their salaries for the months of April, May and June.
In a statement here on Monday, the teachers reminded that Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong had last year assured of clearing their salaries quarterly which, till date, did not materialise, thereby causing them a lot of difficulties. The teachers also urged Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma to look into the matter and release their pending salaries as well as arrears at the earliest.
