Shillong, July 5: In an incident that occurred two years ago in Haryana’s Rewari, two men who robbed a shop owner at gunpoint have been sentenced to seven years in prison. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 41,000 on the convicted individuals. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional six months of imprisonment.

During the incident in 2021, the accused, Kali and Deepak, arrived on a motorcycle at the shop owned by Ashok Kumar in Rewari. They brandished pistols, threatened the shop owner, stole four pairs of shoes valued at Rs 8,000, and swiftly fled the scene. However, they were apprehended within hours of committing the crime.
