JOWAI, July 19: The Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) Khliehriat Circle has condemned the state government’s inability to act on its word in regard with upgrade of Khliehriat CHC to Civil Hospital.
It may be mentioned that the state government had announced the upgrade of the hospital last year. The JSU, however, said that it lacks proper hospital equipment and infrastructure to deliver quality healthcare services effectively.
The student union has maintaine that the authorities should consider the concerns raised by organisations and work towards addressing any deficiencies in the upgraded hospital promptly.
As a mark of protest against the government apathy, the members of the union rubbed off the signboard of Civil Hospital Khliehriat.
